Hammer Prices and Museum Purchases

We have just completed this autumn’s Live Auction in Copenhagen with several remarkable hammer prices and museum purchases.

We embarked on the autumn season with a two-week auction in the old saleroom in Bredgade, Copenhagen, where we offered art, design, antiques, jewellery and wristwatches.

In total, more than 1,000 auction lots came under the hammer, and among the most impressive results were:

Sonja Ferlov Mancoba: "Bird with Young". 1935. Price realised: DKK 280,000
Rolex: Model Sea-Dweller '' Double Red '', ref. 1665.1967. Price realised: DKK 235,000

New Artwork for the Museums

Danish and international museums often guest our Live Auctions, and this time, five works have found new homes in Danish museums. The Art Museum of Bornholm bought a biblical motif from 1899 by the Swedish-Danish painter Karl Isakson, while Østfyns Museums went home with a charming motif of a canary in a cage by Johannes Larsen from 1939. Finally, Fuglsang Kunstmuseum claimed a depiction of a landscape from Skejten on Lolland by the artist Olaf Rude from 1911. The remaining museum purchases cannot be revealed just yet, but we continuously update the list of museum purchases here.

Olaf Rude: "Landscape. Skejten", 1911. Purchased by Fuglsang Kunstmuseum. Price realised: DKK 290,000
