Robert Storm Petersen (b. Valby 1882, d. Frederiksberg 1949)
“Solo og Kor” (Solo and Choir). Signed Storm P. Gouache on paper. Visible size 31×24 cm.
Provenance: According to the Storm P. Museum, it is likely that the drawing served as a model for a reproduction in the German “Lustige Blätter”, 1934, entitled ”Solo und Chor“. The watercolour here is therefore the original version of the motif, also known from the oil painting ”Gårdsangeren" (The Street Singer) made in 1941, which places the work alongside some of the artist's most famous watercolours.
The watercolour was given directly by the artist to the present owner's father.
Small general discolourations, possibly from the mounting. Examined in frame.
Please note: The item is subject to the Anti-Money Laundering Act. In the event of a hammer price of DKK 50,000 or more, including buyer’s premium, the buyer must submit a copy of a valid photo ID and proof of address in order to collect the item.
