The Parisian cabinetmaker Pierre François Quéniard known as Guignard was born in 1740. As a son of a cabinetmaker, he became a master on 21 January 1767 and established himself a furniture manufacturer and merchant on Rue de la Roquette. Form where he ran his business with succes and became one of the leading merchants of the district. Unfortunately for him, he wanted to play a role in the drama of the revolution and was guillotined on 30 July 1794.
