The title of the work refers to the Hungarian Uprising in 1956. During the same period, Egill Jacobsen paints the image “Hungary: Sorrow”, which belongs to Herning Art Museum. Following the atrocities committed by the Soviet forces Egill Jacobsen leaves the Communist Party.
