A Russian gilt and patinated bronze sculpture formed as an Arab riding a dromedary. Signed Samonofe. C. F. Woerfell Foundry in St. Petersburg. H. 37 cm. L. 47 cm.
Provenance: Seller's grandfather, Ole Arnholt Olsson (1900–1975), director of “Folkets Park” (Park of the People) in Malmø. In connection with his job, he had some business trips, among others to France, USA and the Gulf of Bothnia, under which he acquired this sculpture in the 1920s.
