Frits Schlegel (b. Frederiksberg 1896, d. Ordrup 1965)

Brazilian rosewood living room suite comprising freestanding three seater sofa, a pair of easy chairs and a coffee table. Seat, sides and back upholstered with patinated Niger leather. Circular coffee table with underlying, perforated shelf, brass legs with rosewood “shoes”. Made 1940s by cabinetmaker Peter Petersen. Sofa: L. 200 cm. Table: H. 50 cm. Diam. 115 cm. (4)

Rare suite, only three sets made.

Provenance: Frits Schlegel. In 1968 passed on to his friend through many years Erik Elliott Nyegaard from Frits' wife Fritse Eline Jessen Graae. Table marked with transport label.
