"It’s typical of Dieter's painting style, you can see how he moves the hand. There’s blue paint and water in the brush and white paint directly from the tube on the paper itself. Dieter then draws with the brush loaded with water thinned paint through the unthinned paint on the paper so it looks as if the white paint was drawn around the blue paint. The palette is unusual for this size of work, you’d normally see these colours in larger works.” (Björn Roth to the present owner).
