“There is a discernible evolution in Jorn's manner of titling his paintings, just as there is in the style of the paintings themselves. The period from 1939 to 1943 was experimental and eclectic. For his titles Jorn often chose imaginary names with a peculiar brand of ironical grandiloquence: Akada, Feligrams, Gaganda...Gofs Pof, Guganaga....” (Atkins: “Jorn in Scandinavia 1930–1953”, p. 119)
