Jewellery and Wristwatches of the Finest Quality

Sparkling diamonds and ticking wonders are front and centre at our major Live Auction in Copenhagen on 27 and 28 November. Among other items, you can bid on a rare diamond ring from the Argyle mine and one of the world's most iconic sports watches from Patek Philippe.

Rare Pink Diamonds

The absolute highlight of the jewellery auction is an impressive ring with a natural "fancy purplish pink" diamond of approx. 1.05 ct. encircled by white and fancy pink diamonds. The diamonds come from the Argyle mine in Western Australia, which is one of the world's largest diamond mines.  Since 1985, the mine has been the only reliable source for the extraction of these precious stones that range in colour from shades of light pink to deep blue violet.

Natural pink diamonds are incredibly rare and represent just 0.01% of the world's total diamond production. Of these, 90% are excavated from the Argyle mine, where less than 50 diamonds weighing 0.50 ct. or more are mined annually. The mine's planned closure in 2020 will in all likelihood mean a great increase in price on these exclusive pink diamonds which are already in high demand on the international market. For the same reason, they are usually reserved for the lucky few.

A rare diamond ring set with a natural "fancy purplish pink" diamond weighing app. 1.05 ct. and "fancy pink" and white diamonds, mounted in 18k pink and white gold. Estimate: DKK 500,000-600,000

The other highlights of the jewellery auction include a diamond necklace set with natural "fancy yellow" diamonds totalling 30.00 ct. A ”Lakarda” diamond ring from Cartier in the shape of a panther and a diamond bracelet from approx. the 1950-60s with ”fancy yellow” and white diamonds.

The Iconic Nautilus

If wristwatches make your own ticker beat a little faster, there are also plenty of temptations to find at this auction. Here we can present, among other things, the coveted Nautilus wristwatch from the Swiss family-owned watch company Patek Philippe. The watch company was founded in 1851 and thus one of the oldest of its kind in Europe. The waiting list is long in the shops for these iconic wristwatches, and only about three people a year get the opportunity to acquire their own example in Denmark.

The elegantly minimalist style, slim watch case and distinctive fluted dial are without a doubt what makes the Patek Philippe Nautilus unique. The model up for auction is from 2009, but it was originally designed in 1976 by the legendary watch designer Gérald Genta, who is considered one of the world's best within his field.

Patek Philippe: A gentleman's wristwatch of steel. Model Nautilus, ref. 5711/1A-001. Mechanical movement with automatic winding, cal. 324 S C. 2009. Estimate: DKK 300,000-400,000

As usual, the auction also offers several stylish wristwatches from Rolex, including a Yacht-Master II of 18k gold, an Explorer II and a Daytona "Patrizzi". Other brands at the auction include HYT, Urban Jürgensen, IWC and Audemars Piguet.
