Books and Manuscripts

A collection of bindings by the Danish bookbinder Ole Olsen are now presented at the online auction on books and manuscripts.

 

The Danish bookbinder Ole Olsen (born 1932) died during Easter this year. Ole Olsen presented his first major binding in 1958 and has since then become one of the few Danish bookbinders to be known outside of Denmark. He was one of the founders of the Danish Nota Bene club in 1952 and has exhibited his art around the world.

His personal collection of books is now offered at the upcoming online auction on books and manuscripts, which also features a large collection of antique maps from around the world.

The preview takes place on Wednesday 3 June and Thursday 4 June from 10 am – 5 pm at Baltikavej 10, 2100 Copenhagen Ø. Please note, that Bruun Rasmussen will be closed on Friday 5 June. The auction closes for bids Sunday 7 June at 1 pm on books and manuscripts, 4 pm on Ole Olsen's collection and 6 pm on antique maps.
