Thorvald Bindesbøll (b. Copenhagen 1846, d. s.p. 1908)
Mahogany cabinet with profiled top, front with two doors flanked by pilasters, decorated with brass plaques. Two later shelves enclosed. Made by cabinetmaker J.P. Mørck. H. 183 cm. W. 117 cm. D. 53 cm.
Displayed at The World Exhibition in Paris, 1900.
Due to the cabinet being designed for The World Ehhibition, it was made in only 11 parts for easy assembly with just four wedges.
Normal patina due to age and use including scratches and marks.
