Peder Moos (b. Nybøl 1906, d. Bredebro, Tønder 1991)

Nutwood serving trolley mounted on castors with brass fittings. Top and underlying shelf with “raw” glass, corners with circular inlays of light wood. Stamped “V. Birksholm, Jyllingevej 58, samarbejde med & efter model af Peder Moos 1947, nr. 34(?), Danmark”. Designed 1942. Made 1947 by cabinetmaker Verner Birksholm. H. 57 cm. L. 71.5 cm. W. 42 cm.

Provenance: Cabinetmaker Verner Birksholm. Hence by descent in the family.

Model presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1942. In the mid-1940s, Peder Moos tried to put a few of his models into production at, among others, Fritz Hansen.
