A good unsigned Japanese katana in shirasa. With the blade in the original mounting. The blade with an almost straight hamon line is c 81 cm long. The mounting consists of a handle with brown ito, kashira and fuchi in brass, iron mokko gata tsuba decorated on one side with a golden flower and on the other with gilded bee-hive, flowers and a dragon fly, wooden blade in a red lacquered wooden scabbard with a recent kozuka decorated with a gilded dragon.

The sword was bought in the Sokendo shop in Japan and is claimed to be around 300 years old.
