Aksel Bender Madsen (b. 1916, d. 2000)

Armchair with round Brazilian rosewood legs and oval stretchers. Seat, back and armrests upholstered with original black leather. This example made approx. 1949 by cabinetmaker Ludvig Pontoppidan.

Provenance: Bought 1949 from Willy Beck by present owner's family member, who worked as a cabinetmaker for both Willy Beck and Jacob Kjær.

CITES-certificate valid for transport and re-sale within the European Union included.

Condition

Good condition including light surface scratches and marks. Minor paint stains on reverse side of back.

Items that are made of Brazilian rosewood or contain parts of it, require a CITES export permit in order to be exported from Denmark to a country outside The European Union. Buyers residing outside the European Union are required to obtain this permit.
