2506/99

A Russian Pavel Bure 14k gold (583) pin-set hunter case pocket watch, front case adorned with the Russian Warrant in blue and black enamel, white dial signed Pavel Bure plus with Arabian and Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, dust cover engraved Pavel Bure No 59602, inner back case engraved in Danish “Oscar Ravn, From the Empress of Russian year 1901”. C. 1901–1902. Weight 94 g. Case diam. 50 mm. Accompanied by a 14k gold chain (weight 17 plus, L. 28 cm.) and original fitted case. (3).

The numbering 59602 refers to the year 1902 in the Pavel Bure production list. However, the pocket watch was - according to the engraving - given as a present in 1901. It must be assumed that the “Empress” is the Danish-born Empress Maria Feodorovna of Russia (1847–1928).

Condition

The pocket watch functions, but we do not guarantee for the functionality. Minimal wear due to age and use, including few smaller scratcher at the opening edge/outer back case. Case with damages.

The chain has two indistinct marks but is examined to 14k gold.
