A gold medallion with a double profile miniature portrait of King Christian IX and Queen Louise of Denmark as successors to the Danish throne. Presumably painted by a Danish painter in the early 1850s, probably in connection with the King's appointment as heir to the Danish throne in 1852–1853. Gouache on bone laid on board. Visible size 2.4×1.8 cm. H. medallion incl. eyelet 3.4 cm. In a black leather case with back support, lined with purple velvet and silk, decorated with gold print. (2)
