An original b/w press photograph of the Anglo-American actor Cary Grant (1904–1986) in connection with his departure from London on October 2, 1960. Back with agency stamp (The Press Association, London), protective cover and handwritten date, '2/10–60'. Double glazing. Visible size 25×20 cm. Frame size 37×32 cm.
The youthful charm and unique, apparently effortless acting approach contributed massively to making the attractive Cary Grant - born as Archibald Leach in Bristol, England - one of Hollywood's greatest stars ever. It has been said, very apropos of this photograph, that no one aged more beautifully than Cary Grant.
This is an original b/w press photograph from 1960, which has somewhat yellowed. Two minor surface damages in the left side of the photography. Three scratches in the right side. Furthermore signs of handling.
