Wall mounted Brazilian rosewood cabinet, front with circular Ceylon Lemon wood inlay, brass fittings. Inside with “floating” Ceylon Lemon wood box, suspended with brass cylinders. 18 profiled compartments comprising 17 unique vases, lidded jars and figurines by artists employed by Royal Copenhagen at the time. One compartment with small lidded drawer with delicate dove tail joints, containing a miniature duster with bone handle and ostrich feathers. Designed and made 1956 by architect Erik Herløw for cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær. Cabinet: H. 93 cm. W. 49 cm. D. 16 cm.

Provenance: Gift from the employees of Royal Copenhagen for CEO Christian Christensen on his 70th birthday. Hence by descent in the family.
