Köpcke worked with painting, collage, assemblage, modifications and happenings. He wanted to break down the divide between everyday life and art and therefore often used objects from everyday life in his works, such as can be seen in the artist's collages from our collection. In Fluxus art, it is as much about the process itself as about the work, and in that spirit Köpcke wanted to open up the viewer's active participation in the work of art, e.g. in the 13 collages, all of which carry the call "You only contribute when placing the same as the title. Otherwise you are only a spectator, peeper, voyeur”. Everyone, especially other artists such as Per Kirkeby and Stig Brøgger, have therefore taken up the challenge and left their mark and signature on the works.
