“Bing & Grøndahl”. A unique, freestanding two seater sofa with teak frame, “shoes” of brass. Sides, seat and back upholstered with greenish blue wool, sides and back fitted with buttons. Made 1947 by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. L. 164 cm.

This rare sofa was designed for the Porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl's flagship store on Amager torv in Copenhagen in 1947. It was Finn Juhl's first major interior design of a public space.
