This interesting and unique collection of music gives us an clear insight into the music life at Valdemar's Castle during the mid 18th century to mid 19th century. Thanks to the chamberlain Frederik Juel (owner 1781–1827) and Carl Baron Juel-Brockdorff (1827–1859) the music life on the castle was European oriented - especially towards Germany - it was vivid and of high quality in classical music as well as in dance music. The collection is both of culturally and historically importance.
