A pair of Danish Empire silver sauce boats, gilt interior, classic model with curved handle, oval base on firm dish, raised on four volute legs, beading borders, engraved resp. “No 3 vog 39 3/8 lod” and “No 5 vog 39 1/2 lod”. Maker Johan Isbrand, Copenhagen 1807. Weight 1,194 g. H. 15 cm. L. 20 cm. With a pair of Danish Empire silver sauce spoons, curved handle and horizontal bowl, the whole bowl gilt, engraved resp. “No 3. 4 3/8 lod” and “No 5. 4 3/8 lod”. Provenance: Merchant Vilhelm Frederik Tutein (1791–1867) and his wife Elise Tutein, (née Hvidt), Edelgave Manor. Thence by their family until today. The family Tutein was part of the highest bourgeois class in Denmark
