A rare Danish air rifle c 1789 by Gunder Jensen Berg mounted in gilded brass originally with an air container in the butt, but this is missing. The butt cap has a lid through which the container could be charged, a normal flint lock with flat forms marked G. I. BERG KIØBENHAVN, set trigger, side plate in plate c 66 cm long octagonal barrel in calibre c 9 mm with a folding back sight and a mark (like Støckel 1714), the ramrod is held by 3 pipes. Gunder Jensen Berg was born in 1754 and became a gunmaker to the Royal Lifeguards in 1787. This is the only known air rifle by his hand and Danish air rifles from the 18th cent. are very few. The flint lock cannot function at the touch hole is only marked and not bored through.
The fore-stock repaired by the back barrel pin.
