A fully stock Italian brass mounted flintlock blunderbuss by Stancili c 1740 with a butt cap in plate carved with military attributes, flat lock carved with florals and marked STANCILI, side plate in the shape of a bird and a monster, two-stage barrel finely carved with raised cut steel foliation, oval muzzle in calibre c 40 mm, steel ramrod held by two fluted pipes.
Condition
All iron cleaned, the stock with some signs of use and repaired by the muzzle.
