The “Ravenna” technique is another important contribution by Orrefors to art glass, and perhaps its artist Sven Palmqvist's most important one. “Ravenna” is a further development of the “Graal” technique and was inspired by the colourful mosaics in the mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna, Italy, hence the name.
