A royal presentation gold and diamond evening party bag parure, composed by 18k yellowish, greenish and reddish gold, comprising a reticule with sugarloaf cabochon sapphire lock, a portmonné, an openable powder box with mirror and brush, and a scent bottle, respectively knitted, profile-curved and fluted design, all pieces adorned with a royal Egyptian monogram HF set with several rose-cut diamonds. In original box from J. Lattes, Genève and Cairo. Mid-20th century. Weight in total (including contents in powder box and scent bottle) 338 g. H. reticule 12.5 cm. Diam. powder box 3.5 cm. (4)

Provenance: A present from a member of the royal Egyptian family in the early 1950s to the Danish owner's great-grandmother. She was part of the circle around the Egyptian king and his family as well as J. Lattes, who also made Egyptian medals. Thence by descendent until today.
