Provenance: The current owner's great-grandfather, pharmacist Alfred H. Nielsen, bought the painting directly from Anna Ancher in 1933 for DKK 300. An evening party in Brøndum's painting hall with Helga Ancher (1883–1964) in the centre performing accompanied by naval officer, later naval captain Eigil Riis-Carstensen (1892–1953). Around her from the left: Town treasurer Johan Frederik (Hansi) Brodersen (1858–1943), Degn Brøndum (1856–1932) sitting and smoking a cigar, in the back to the right Hulda Brøndum (1853–1935). In the front to the left Henny Brodersen (1868–1960) in a green dress and Marie Brøndum (1851–1945) in a violet dress. The gentleman in the wicker chair with his back turned is Inspector of dunes and Planter in Hjørring county C.F. Dahlerup (1857–1945).
