'FDR's Last Congress Appearance'. An original b/w gelatin silver press photograph of US President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945) during his final Congress appearance on March 1, 1945. Back with agency stamp (International News Photo), attached news telegram dated March 1, 1945 and handwritten numbering in red. Double glazing. Visible size 21×16.5 cm. Frame size 31×26 cm.

During Roosevelt's last meeting with the US Congress, the ailing president briefed members on the outcome of the recent Yalta Conference (February 4–11, 1945), the purpose of which was to coordinate the Americans, Russians and British in their decisive struck against the Third Reich. Just over a month later, on April 12, President Roosevelt died at his vacation home 'Little White House' in Warm Springs, Georgia.
