Large Chinese bronze altar candlestick, stem with two pierced globes with dragon meandering and stylized waterlily leave, standing on three sided foot each with a Fo-dog head. 18th-19th century. H. 81 cm.

The candlestick was made as part of a set of four, which allegedly came from a buddhist temple that burned down. Two of the candlesticks were donated to Marstal Church (photo) and lit for the first time in 1925.
