On the back of the panel on label (In Danish): View: Spring 1874, from ruins of the Imperial Palaces* in Rome by The Colosseum, The Arch og Constantine and The St: Bonaventura Cloister where the painter Küchler was a monk (see the figure) in the distance the snowcovered Leonessa in The Abruzzi, painted by Godfred Christensen 1926 on an old “draft” of the painting. *Monte Palatino.

Condition

Minor retouches. Two minimal scratches.
