Grandmother telling Stories. Signed and dated L. Frölich 1860. On the mount inscribed: 3/1 1861 alloted to the printer Wissing in Viborg. (In Danish). Drawing ink and watercolour on paper laid on paper. 19.5×23.5.
Provenance: Baker Reinhard van Hauen, bought on Kunstforeningens Auction 1933.
The drawing collection comprised the works on paper (pencil, charcoal, drawing ink and more), collected throughout the years by Kunstforeningen as a catalogue of their purchases. If you sold a painting to them, you had to submit a drawing as well. The collection was sold in 1933.
The paper has turned slightly brown and is slightly wavy. A few discolourations. Mount with tears in lower edge.
