In 1974–1975, Fa. Fritz Hansen decided to make a special production of “China Chair” in Cuban mahogany. For 40 years, since 1934, the company had Cuban mahogany at their storage, and they assumed that 400 chairs could be made from the stock. Each chair was given a silver plaque at the bottom part of the back, numbered with a serial number out of 400, company name and Hans J. Wegner's stamped signature.
Normal patina due to age and use, including scratches and marks. Cushion with patina, including stains and dirt. Two loose buttons are taped to seat.
