The Danish visual artist Mathias Malling Mortensen (b. 1980) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Malling Mortensen is educated from The Danish School of Media and Journalism working as a graphic designer illustrating books, posters, album covers, and scenography, before pursuing a career as a self-taught artist. Malling Mortensen’s works is recognized for his use of fragmented elements, different shapes, textures, and colors. By combining colored layers Malling Mortensen creates abstract geometric shapes, creating a sense of spaciousness and depth. His process is inspired by urban space, where he collects figures and compositions, which he makes into works of art. Represented at Atelier Hjorth-Rohde.

The work is part of a charity auction to benefit “Børns Vilkår” (Children's Rights Denmark). The auction is initiated and curated by “Curated by Jens-Peter Brask”. The artists have generously donated their works. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers do not charge fees or commission so the total proceeds will go undiminished to Børns Vilkår's important work.
