A Régence giltwood console table in the manner of Jules Degoullon, with curved marble top, adorned with carved openwork foliage, ornaments and richly carved c-scrolled legs. France, c. 1720. H. 74 cm. W. 77 cm. D. 48 cm.
The sculptor Jules Degoullons was part of the company 'Société pour les Bâtiments du Roi' founded in 1699. Together with André Legoupil, Marin Bellan and Pierre Taupin they served the young King Louis XV's buildings.
