Vittorio Storaro: A signed b/w still photograph of the American actor Martin Sheen (b. 1940) in his role as Captain Benjamin L. Willard in the movie “Apocalypse Now” from 1979. By MS inscribed “That you?”. Director: Francis Ford Coppola. Producer: Francis Ford Coppola. Distribution: United Artists. Photo size 25×20 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm.
The film manuscript, written by Francis Ford Coppola and Michael Herr, is loosely based upon the author Joseph Conrad's “Heart of Darkness” from 1899, yet the tale has been replaced in regards to both time and geography - from Congo in the late 19th century to the war-torn Vietnam of the 1960s. The movie follows the American Captain Benjamin L. Willard (Martin Sheen) and his voyage from Southern Vietnam and into Cambodia, where he is to liquidate Colonel Kurtz, played by Marlon Brando, who has deserted the elite unit US Army Special Forces and is presumed insane by the authorities.
No remarks. This is an original b/w photograph with the authentic signature of the American actor Martin Sheen. Certificate of authenticity from PSA included. PSA is one of the most reputable authorities in the world in regards to valuation and authentication of signatures.
