Authenticated on the reverse by the artist’s wife Anna Elise de la Chapelle (later von Born) (1857–1921): ”Att denna tafla, ”Vid Seine” år 1902 är målad av Albert Edelfelt intygar E. von Born.” (E. von Born confirms that this painting, “By the Seine” 1902, was painted by Albert Edelfelt).
Vaux-sur-Seine is located northwest of Paris.
Provenance: The collection of art dealer Gösta Stenman, Inv. No. 3219. With a stamp from 'Stenmans Konstsalong' (Stenman's art salon) on the reverse.
