A late 19th century gilt wood case, carved with crown, flowers and foliage, the inside of the lid decorated with the crowned monogram of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Louise in causation of their silver wedding, blue silk lining. Marked “Weber & Ververs Forgylder Etablissement 47 Gothersgade”. H. 34. L. 48. W. 32 cm.

Condition

The lid warped. Chip to carving. Minor cracks in the wood. Crack to bottom. Key enclosed. Wear of use and age.
