Kaare Klint's influence is clearly visible in Jacob Kjær's designs. The clean lines and the respect for the material are present throughout his furniture production. He said that furniture could be bold in its design, but that it should not be decadent, but rather be simple and aesthetical in its construction. Craftsmanship and functionality was undoubtedly the starting point for any piece of furniture that he began work on.
