An album of 32 engravings depicting maps, prospects and sceneries from China. Inscribed in print. Engravings. Sheet size 59×42 cm each.
Provenance: Graduate engineer Carl Gimbel (1881–1946), professor at the Imperial University of Beijing 1910–1912 with rank of Mandarin of 3rd degree. 1913–1928 District Manager of the Salt taxes.
All engravings are bound in the album. Several have turned slightly yellow and with frayed edges.
