CHURCHILL THEME

Winston Churchill and Charles Chaplin first met in California in September 1929. Two years later, in the autumn of 1931, they renewed their connection when Chaplin visited Chartwell, the Churchill family mansion in Kent, southern England. The present photograph is from that visit, which cemented what would become a lifelong friendship between the two men

This is an original b/w silver gelatin press photograph from 1965, which shows fine surface scratches. In addition, common handling marks.
