The present work can't be found immediately in Marie Lødrup Bang's Catalogue Raisonné of the Works of I. C. Dahl. Although, many corresponding works are mentioned in the Catalogue Raisonné and some of these without satisfactory details.
Provenance: Managing director of Den Norske Kreditbank in Kristiania (Oslo) and later Landmandsbanken, Isak Glückstadt. Presumably, the painting derives from Mr. Glückstadt's stay in Norway and was passed on to his son Valdemar Glückstadt, consul general and merchant. His wife Mrs Julie Glückstadt, né Rée. In the same family till now.
