A set of ten Swedish almost identical late Gustavian white painted chairs after model by Ephraim Ståhl (b. 1767, d. Stockholm 1820), upholstered back and seat, the back carved with acanthus leaves and griffins, the seat frieze carved with rosettes in the corners and leaf boards, round tapering fluted front legs adorned with carved foliage, slightly curved back legs. Stockholm, late 18th century. (10)
