Vilhelm Lauritzen (b. Slagelse 1894, d. Gentofte 1984)

Two seater sofa with stained beech round legs and frame. Sides, back and loose seat cushion upholstered with original patinated Niger leather. Made 1930s by cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær. H. 68 cm. L. 128 cm. D. 61 cm.

Provenance: Acquired as new by present owner's family. Hence by descent in the family.

Model designed for the villa at Øregårdsvænget 7 in Hellerup, designed 1934 by Vilhelm Lauritzen. The sofa was a part of the “mistress' bedroom” interior.
