Macedonian Kingdom, Philip III Arrhidaios, 323–317 BC, Mesopotamia, Au Stater, 8.61 g, small planchet flaw on reverse. Head of Athena wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with sphinx seated right - the sphinx is often seen on the issues from Babylon, Susa etc. The symbol and monogram on the reverse below Nike's wings are found on the Tetradrachm Price 3336 and partly on the Stater P154, which were traditionally attributed to Aradus, but now are considered to be from Mesopotamia (Newell).
