The naval Battle of Copenhagen took place the 2nd of April 1801. The British fleet was under command of admiral Sir Hyde Parker and fought a Danish-Norwegian fleet embedded at Rheden. The attack was lead by admiral Horatio Nelson, who disobeyed an order to withdraw from the battle, instead he destroyed a large part of the Danish fleet and Denmark and Norway accepted cease-fire.
