A Pair of Danish officer’s sword mounted in gilded brass and in their scabbards. The first French inspired c 1800 with a lions head on the pommel, grip bound in twisted silver wire, c 77 cm long slightly curved blade etched with the small Danish coat of arms and VIVAT on both sides in a brass scabbard decorated with military trophies on the front. The second a 1810 with a pommel in the form of an antique helmet, a stirrup hilt, oval langets one marked J, a straight c 83,5 cm long single edged blade faintly etched with an inscription in a brass scabbard.

Condition

The first with loose wire on the grip and somewhat spotted blade. The second with missing bars, a piece of wood missing on the grip and a very nicked spotted blade.
