Anna Ancher (b. Skagen 1859, d. s.p. 1935)

The present painting is a study for “Koner, der binder guirlander” (Women making festoons) (Art Museums of Skagen Inv. No. 1331). That one painted in 1907 when Frederik VIII (1843–1912) visited Skagen for the inauguration of the new harbour.
