A Russian cut crystal fortified wine glass, front engraved with the mitre crowned Russian double-headed eagle, centered by foliage, painted in black and gold, reverse engraved with the Cyrillic monogram of Tsar Nicholas Alexandrovich II of Russia, painted in gold. The present wine glass is inspired by 18th century baroque glasses. According to tradition this glass type was made around 1910 for the Romanov House tercentenary in 1913. Later on, it was used for banquetings at the Tsarskoe Selo Palace.
Minimal wear due to age and use, incl. eventually a bit worn gilding on top rim.
