Six bowls of bluish green pressed glass. With geometric pattern and grooves and leaves in relief. Signed Orrefors, SP 14 and 15. Made 1920–30 by Orrefors, Sweden. H. 10.5 and 16.5 cm. Diam. 15 and 19 cm. (6)
The pressed glass from Orrefors can be seen as a part of the Swedish movement “Vackrare vardagsvara” (Design for all). The idea of artists and architects working together with the industry to create products which economically were available to everyone, but were thoughtful and of simple, yet high quality.
Surface scratches, marks and minimal chips. One of the largest bowls with extensive wear/scratches on the inside.
