An English George III strikein clock in mahogany case with gilt brass dial with openwork gilt bronze corner ornaments, movement with half-hour striking, date disposal and strike-silent, the backplate richly engraved with Chinese pargode and ornamentation. Plaque signed 'W. Smith, London'. Late 18th century. H. 50 cm. W. 29 cm. D. 18 cm.
